Very Different. How are they similar?

So it's extremely obvious providing therapy services to residents with an ungodly range of co-morbidities is very dissimilar to asking a caller to unplug and plug in their printer. What isn't as obvious are how similar these careers are:

Customer Service: Patients, customers, consumers, residents, and guests. I've heard these terms used in a variety of settings including retail, therapy, mental health and quality assurance to name a few. My career has always focused on providing a service to another person with the utmost care and concern for their needs.
